The required prior work experience for the bidder includes a maintenance engineer with a degree/diploma in civil engineering and three years of experience. The bidder should have experience in road works, bridge works, and other related areas. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work for which the bid is invited. In terms of financial turnover, the bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover, equivalent to 60% or 75% of the amount put to bid, depending on the bid amount, with at least 50% of the turnover coming from civil engineering construction works. The specific percentages and values are as follows: - 60% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs - 75% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is more than Rs.200 lakhs In Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figure of 75% is replaced by 50%. The turnover will be indexed at the rate of 8% per year. The bidder is required to have prior work experience in construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years and provide details of work performed as a prime contractor in the same name and style on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years, along with a certificate from the Engineer-in-charge. The bidder should also provide information on the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited, with details including project name, name of employer, description of work, value of contract, and other relevant information.
