The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering construction work, specifically having executed and received payments for a total annual volume of civil engineering construction work in the last five years. They should also have work experience as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work for which the bid is invited. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved in any one year, a minimum financial turnover equivalent to: - 60% of the amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs, - 75% of the amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is more than Rs.200 lakhs, with at least 50% of the turnover being from Civil Engineering construction works. In Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figure of 75% would be replaced by 50%. The bidder's available bid capacity for construction work should be equal to or more than the total bid value excluding maintenance, calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at the rate of 8 percent a year.
