The bidder is required to have prior work experience of similar nature and volume over the last five years from the date of receipt of the bid. The bidder should have executed similar nature of work worth 75% of the estimated cost, put to tender during any three financial years taken together of the last preceding five years. The value of work executed by the applicant shall be updated to current price level using escalation factor, with a rate of inflation taken as 10 percent per year. The bidder's prior work experience is assessed based on the maximum value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the current price level. The bidder's experience is assessed based on the value of works executed in the last five years, but no specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned, except that the bidder should have executed similar nature of work worth 75% of the estimated cost. The bidder must demonstrate having experience and resources sufficient to meet the aggregate of the qualifying criteria for the individual contracts. To qualify, the bidder's available bid capacity will be calculated based on their past work experience. The details to be provided include project name, name of employer, description of work, value of contract, contract number, date of issue of work order, stipulated date of completion, actual date of completion, and year-wise value of work done. The annual turnover certificate from a Chartered Accountant for the last five financial years, with a breakup of civil works and total works for each financial year, is also required. The bidder should also have the total financial turn over in respect of Civil Engineering works of an amount not less than the amount put to tender during any 3 financial years taken together of the last proceeding five financial years. The available bid capacity is calculated as: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A*N*2-B), where A = Maximum value of Civil Engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, B = Value of current price level of the existing commitments & ongoing works to be completed during the next years, and N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which the bids are invited. The bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the total estimated cost of the works.
