The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - A maintenance engineer with a degree/diploma in civil engineering and at least 3 years of experience. - For contracts more than Rs. Five crores, a maintenance engineer with a degree in civil engineering and minimum 3 years of experience is required. - For contracts up to Rs. Five crores, a maintenance engineer with a diploma in civil engineering and minimum 3 years of experience is required. - A lab technician with a diploma in civil engineering and 5 years of practical experience is required for contracts more than Rs. Five crores. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work for which the bid is invited. In case of Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figure of one-third would be replaced by one-fourth. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved in any one year, a minimum financial turnover equivalent to 60% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs, and 75% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is more than Rs.200 lakhs. In Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figure of 75% would be replaced by 50%. The bidder should also have a minimum financial turnover of 50% from Civil Engineering construction works. The turnover will be indexed at the rate of 8% per year. The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned, except for the requirement of one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts) of the estimated cost of work for which the bid is invited.
