The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid having value and formulas is as follows: Bid Capacity : ‘C’ = A x N x 2 – B, Where, A = Maximum value of Civil Engg. Works executed in any year in preceding 5 yrs. N = No. of year prescribed for completion of works for which bids are invited. B = Value of works in hand at present price level. Additionally, the total value of Civil engineering construction work performed in the last 5 years with a certificate from a Chartered Accountant is required. A statement showing the value of existing commitments and ongoing works, as well as the stipulated period of completion, is also required to be countersigned by an executive engineer/Divisional Engineer/Project Manager or equivalent in Schedule-G. Alternatively, the bid capacity can also be evaluated based on the following conditions: - Three similar nature of works in Govt./ PSUs/ Public Limited Companies/ Private Limited Companies each costing Rs. 1,00,95,974.00 (40% of bid value) or more - Two similar nature of works each costing Rs. 1,26,19,967.00 (50% of bid value) or more - One similar nature of work costing Rs. 2,01,91,948.00 (80% of bid value) or more in Current / last five years. Note that the bid capacity is required for works above Rs.3 crores. An escalation factor is used to update the costs of works executed to a common base value, with multiplying factors ranging from 1.10 for one year to 1.61 for five years.
