Cable termination; Termination of Aluminium/ Copper cables/Control cables at welding sockets / SFU, PB stations/Motors, including cable reglanding, gland hole cutting, socketing and connection etc as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. Nalco will supply the required glands and lugs only, rest is in the scope of party.

Cable tray cleaning: Cleaning of Cable trays including covers of Sizes (100 - 750) mm at 55 areas at a height more than 5 mtr from ground level, so as to remove dust, hard Hydrate, accumulated Hydrate/Alumina and any other pre deposited foreign materials completely as per the direction of Engineer in charge. Party has to remove the existing covers from cable tray and fixing the same after the cleaning of cable trays. All the materials like wire brushes,markin cloth,water/Air hose pipe etc required for cleaning are in the scope of the Party.Party should obtain Clearance from Electrical department before starting the works.All sorts of saftey aspects are in the scope of party. Here cleaning of one RM means cleaning of all the cable trays laid in one racks (same vertical column) in a lrngth of one meter.

Fabrication work: Fabrication of steel structure out of MS / GI sections, plates,MS angle, channel at height including welding/cutting/bolting, etc, as required for erection of canopies on LICs, PB stations, strengthening of cable trays, base frames etc including fabrication of canopies for motors, supporting stuctures for transportation of ID fan transformer as required and as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Painting with one coat of red oxide primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint including supply of ISI mark paint and all consumables as required are in the party's scope. (Nalco shall issue only MS plates, GI sheet and structural steels as free issue items from central store.Transport from central store to site is under the scope of the party.All other materials /consumables/ machines are in the scope of the party.) The party has to take adequate precaution during fabrication of canopies over charged cable on the existing cable tray and running equipments and to arrange all the saftey measure required for safely execution of work..

Replacement of Welding Socket/SFU: This includes removal of existing damaged welding sockets / SFU/ Isolator of rating 63A to 400A after removal of cable,earthing & fixing of new welding socket/SFU by fabrication of suitable base frame on the steel structures by welding or on to the wall / concrete beams by grouting,fixing the Welding Socket on to the frame with nut and bolts, termination of cable, Painting the Base Frame with one coat of red oxide primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint including supply of ISI mark paints, all consumables and labours etc,earthing and as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge. NALCO shall supply only welding sockets/SFU as free issue items.Transportation from CS to site is in the scope of party. Disposal of scrapes at scrape yard/as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge.

Dismantling of LIC, PB station : Dismantling of damaged local Isolation cabinet including dismantling of cables and cable glands and removing of base frame by cutting and welding etc after receiving shutdown as required and as per the direction of the engineer-in-charge. The party shall handover all the removable materials to Nalco and disposal of the scrapes at scrape yard.

Installation of LIC, PB station & JBs : Installation, testing, commissioning of local Isolation cabinet , PB station, 24V lighting point and JB along with glanding, cutting/welding, termination of cables as required and as per the direction of Engineer in charge. The Isolation cabinet , PBs, sockets and angels for base frame shall be supplied by Nalco, as free issue item. Transport of FIM from CS to site is in the scope of party.

Painting : This includes scrubbing & cleaning the surface of control panel/Local isolation cabinet/PB station,junction box,choke box,cable trays etc by wire brush to make it free from rust & dirt,Painting the same with one coat of red oxide primer & two coats of synthetic enamel paint.Supply of paint & primer is in the scope of NALCO.

Writing of Equipment Name :

2" Letter : This job includes writing of 2" letters on wall,floors,panels,switchboards,doors,windows etc. The job is to be carried out as per direction of Engineer in charge.Paint, brush etc.is in the scope of contractor.

3" Letter : This job includes writing of 3" letters on wall,floors,panels,switchboards,doors,windows etc. The job is to be carried out as per direction of Engineer in charge.Paint, brush etc.is in the scope of contractor.

Industrial Power Socket: Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of 20 Amps industrial power socket along with 20A MCB of Standard/MDH/Havels including glanding & termination of cables etc as required and as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. (Supply of DC cable glands and lugs are in the scope of the party)

Laying of GI strips: Laying, cutting and welding of GI earth strip of size 50X6MM, 25X3MM or 14MM GI rope at horizintal and vertical surfaces at different heights as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. Party to supply required clamps, sockets and all consumables to complete the work . All welding surfaces must be painted properly.

Panel door hinge repairing : Broken doors of different types of panels to be repaied as per requirement which may require minimum 3 nos. of door hinge welding,painting and as per direction of Engineer in charge. Door hinge to be supplied by the contractor.

Erection & commissioning of Local Power panel: The work includes shifting of panel from Central store to the site, fabrication of suitable base frame as required, fixing the base frame on to the steel structure/cemented wall by welding/grouting etc and as per the direction of Engineer in charge. Party to glanding and terminating of power and control cables with supply SS double compression gland for three no's of cable of size upto 19CX2.5sqmm and two nos Power cables upto size 4CX50sqmm. NALCO shall supply only steel materials, earth flats and cable as free issue item. all other consumables like SS double compression gland and lugs are in the scope of the contractors.
