ACID RESISTANT BRICKS: Providing and fixing acid resistant 75mm thick bricks conforming to IS:4860 of approved make in flooring/ dado/ skirting/ pits etc. The acid resistant bricks shall be laid over one coat of approved quality anti-corrosion priming paint and 10mm thick approved make bitumen mastic layer. The acid resistant bricks shall be fixed with acid proof silicate based mortar (in proportion 3S:1K as per IS:4441) spread on back of bricks and joints (ranging from 4 to 6mm in thickness) shall be raked to a minimum depth of 18mm. The joints shall be flushed with acid resistant Furacin based mortar (in proportion 3 parts Furacin powder :1 part Furacin mortar as per IS:4443) of approved make and curing/ neutralizing of the joints shall be accoplished by Furen resin, all complete as per specifications, relevant IS codes and direction of Engineer-In-Charge.
