The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completion of similar works with specific values and percentages. The criteria are as follows: - Completion of a single work of similar nature costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost put to tender. - Completion of two works of similar nature, each costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost put to tender. - Completion of three works of similar nature, each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost put to tender. For example, if the estimated cost is Rs. 100 crores, the bidder should have completed a single work of similar nature costing at least Rs. 80 crores, or two works costing at least Rs. 50 crores each, or three works costing at least Rs. 40 crores each. The experience can be in the form of: - Three similar completed works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost put to tender. - Two similar completed works each costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost put to tender. - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost put to tender. A 7% weightage per year is given to the cost of previous completed works to bring them to the current price level, and a 5% weightage shall be considered for work experience for floating of tender. The estimated cost for participation in the bid is above Rs. 2.0 Crores.
