The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing similar works during the last 07 years. The specific requirements are: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. For subletting of work, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs.50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. A work is considered substantially completed if payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. The value of the work is considered for calculating the average annual contractual turnover. The bidder should have completed a work similar in nature to the tendered work, and the value of the completed work, including the Price Variation Clause (PVC) amount, will be considered for evaluating technical credentials.
