The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed or substantially completed specific categories of work(s) during the last 07 years. These categories are: * Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender * Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender * One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender In the case of composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: * Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender * Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender For subcontractors, the required prior work experience includes having successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of subcontractor is required. The average annual contractual turnover of the tenderer must be at least V/N or 'V' whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited. The available bid capacity is calculated based on the maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year, using the formula: Available Bid Capacity = [A x N x 2] – 0.33xNxB. The bidder's available bid capacity should be equal to or more than the total bid value of the present tender.
