The bidder should have prior work experience in any sector with at least one agreement/contract completed satisfactorily within the stipulated time frame. The experience gained by executing work on a back-to-back contract basis is acceptable if certain conditions are fulfilled. The bidder should have successfully physically completed “similar work” during the last 07(Seven) years ending on the last date of month previous to the one in which tender is invited, not less than the followings: (i) 01 (One) Similar Completed Work costing not less than Rs.4.44 Cr. (inclusive of all taxes) OR, (ii) 02 (Two) Similar Completed Works each costing not less than Rs. 2.77 Cr. (inclusive of all taxes) OR, (iii) 03 (Three) Similar Completed Works each costing not less than Rs. 2.22 Cr. (inclusive of all taxes). The value of executed works shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a simple rate of 7% per annum. No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned, but the bidder's average annual financial turnover during the last 3 years should not be less than Rs. 1.66 Cr. The bidder's maximum turnover in construction works executed in any one year during the last 5 years should be considered. The bidding capacity is calculated using the formula: Bidding Capacity = [ { A x N x 1.5 } - B ], where A is the maximum turnover, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work (which is 2 years), and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works. The bidder's available bid capacity of work should be equal to or more than the total bid value put to tender.
