Assistance in day-to-day operation of Water Treatment Plant and water distribution network at CWS Colony and also at other establishments such as Central Workshop premises, G.M. Office, Central Store, etc. The job includes: (A) Daily operation of various valves; (B) Daily assistance in dozing of alum & bleaching powder; (C) Day-to-day assistance in shifting of various materials regarding water supply system at Water Treatment Plant and also at other places under CWS jurisdiction, as per requirement; (D) Day-to-day assistance in minor repairing works regarding water supply system such as excavating trenches, etc.; and (E) Day-to-day assistance in other allied works. Note: (i) All the above jobs are to be carried out by the contractor as per instructions of the Engineer-in-charge or his representative(s); (ii) The contractor is required to deploy 3 suitable workers daily for this job. The contractor has to deploy such workers who are trained, experienced, and suitable for the job. Shift timings & shift-wise deployment shall be as directed by the Engineer-in-charge or his representative(s) and it may change from time-to-time. Providing rest days/ holidays/ leaves to the workers is the responsibility of the contractor and the contractor is also required to deploy suitable relievers/ substitutes for the job. In measurement, number of days shall be calculated as total number of manshifts (actual attendance) divided by 3. (iii) Daily attendance shall be maintained at the designated place. Each worker is required to carry an ID card of some government authority (aadhaar card, voter's card, driver's licence, PAN card, etc.). (iv) Each worker must be equipped with adequate safety accessories such as washable & reusable face masks (if & when required), gum-boots/ safety shoes, and washable & reusable hand gloves. Moreover, they also have to be equipped with raincoats and torchlights, depending upon season, weather conditions, & shift timings. They shall also be equipped with basic tools & equipment required for the jobs described above, such as phawada, tagadi/ghamela, gaiti, kulhadi, kudali, etc. All these accessories & tools are to be provided by the contractor in the rate of this item. (v) Water & electricity required for the work shall be made available by WCL, without any cost to be charged from the contractor.

Assistance for day-to-day sweeping, brooming, cleanliness, & housekeeping at Water Treatment Plant, except toilet & gardens. The job includes: (A) Daily sweeping & mopping of floors, cleaning of dado with wet cloth, removing spider webs from walls and ceilings, cleaning of doors, windows, & gates with wet cloth, cleaning & dusting of wire mesh, etc.; (B) Daily dusting/ cleaning (with dry or wet cloth as per requirement) of tables, chairs, and other similar furniture items; (C) Daily sweeping & brooming at the locations open to sky; (D) Cleaning of roofs & chhajjas by sweeping & brooming, as & when required; (E) Removing grass, weeds, & minor shrubs, if any, from walls, chhajjas, roofs, etc., as & when required; (F) Daily collection of garbage at designated points and putting it on garbage vehicle of the Colony; (G) Housekeeping jobs such as shifting of various objects etc., as & when required; and (H) Other allied jobs related to sweeping, brooming, cleanliness, & housekeeping. Note: (i) All the above jobs are to be carried out by the contractor as per instructions of the Engineer-in-charge or his representative(s); (ii) The contractor is required to deploy 2 suitable cleaning workers daily for this job in first/ general shift. The contractor has to deploy such workers who are trained, experienced, and suitable for the job. Shift timings shall be as directed by the Engineer-in-charge or his representative(s) and it may change from time-to-time depending upon situation. Providing leaves to the worker is the responsibility of the contractor and the contractor is also required to deploy suitable substitute in case the worker is on leave/ absent.
