Maintenance & upkeeping of the following lawns/ gardens at Administrative Building (G.M. Office) premises and Workshop premises:
a) Lawns at Administrative Building (G.M. Office) premises;
b) Lawns/ gardens behind MB-1 building; and
c) Lawns between MB-1 & MB-2 buildings.
The job includes:
(A) Daily watering of plants & grass;
(B) Cleaning/ uprooting of unwanted vegetation such as weeds, minor shrubs, etc.;
(C) Trimming & shearing of grass;
(D) Trimming/ prawning of plants;
(E) Digging of holes and earth cutting;
(F) Replacement & planting of plants & grass;
(G) Blending/ mixing of earth with sludge/ manure/ fertilizer;
(H) Application of manure/ fertilizer;
(I) Removal of dead & fallen parts of plants, such as leaves, flowers, etc. and putting them at the designated point(s); and
(J) Other allied jobs related to maintenance & upkeeping of lawn & garden.
Note:
(i) All the above jobs are to be carried out by the contractor as per instructions of the department;
(ii) The contractor is required to deploy suitable workers (numbers as specified in item no. 1.01 to 1.02) in general/ first shift daily, except on weekly rest days and public holidays. The contractor has to deploy such workers which are trained, experienced, and suitable for the job. Providing leaves to the workers is the responsibility of the contractor and the contractor is also required to deploy suitable substitute(s) in case the worker(s) is/are on leave/ absent.
(iii) Daily attendance shall be maintained at the designated place by the department. Each worker is required to carry an ID card of some government authority (aadhaar card, voter's card, driver's licence, PAN card, etc.).
(iv) The contractor shall provide gum-boots/ safety shoes, gardening gloves upto sleeve length (heavy duty, washable, puncture proof, gardening gloves with claws in one hand), and face masks to the workers. The contractor shall also provide raincoat to the workers, depending upon the weather conditions. Basic tools & equipment required for the jobs described above, such as gardening scissors, phawada, tagadi/ghamela, gaiti, kulhadi, kudali, kanni, etc. shall also be provided by the contractor. Costs of all these accessories/ safety gear and these basic tools/ equipment to be covered in the rate of this item.
(v) Water & electricity shall be made available by WCL, without any cost to be charged from the contractor.
