Polyurethane (PU) Coating

Providing and applying Anti corrosive protective polyurethane coating/treatment on the external surface of existing MS old Pipe line. Including Cleaning the entire steel/MS pipe thoroughly with wire brush. Providing and applying one coat of Rust Remover Steel RR or equivalent which helps in removing adamantly adhering rust. The chemical to be used must remove the loose rust without losing the strength of metal. The rust remover chemical should have the following properties: Colour: Light Brown; Application: Brush, Roller; Recommended DFT/COAT: 20-25 Microns; Specific Gravity: 1.2 - 1.3; Surface Dry: 1 hour at 30° C; Hard Dry: 24 Hrs.; ph: 2. Providing and applying one coat of Epoxy Primer Steel ZRP (LCNR) or equivalent which is a Two Component, Anti Corrosive, High Build Long Chain Nylon Reticulant, Zinc Phosphate Epoxy Primer. The epoxy primer should have the following properties: Application: Brush, Roller; Appearance: Part A: clear viscous liquid & Part B: Yellow Liquid; Mix Density: 1.2 ±0.2 ; % Volume Solids as per ASTM D2697: 80 ± 5 %; Pot life at 25oc as per ASTM D 1640 : Min 1 hr; Touch dry at 25oc as per ASTM D 1640: 1-2hrs; DFT per coat: 80-100 micron. Providing and applying two top coats of Polyurethane Steel PU or equivalent which is a two component polyisocyanate based polyurethane coating. The Top Polyurethane (PU) coating should have the following properties: Application: Brush, Roller; Appearance: Part A: Industrial shade liquid & Part B: Clear Liquid; Mix Density: 1.08 ±0.2 ; % Volume Solids as per ASTM D2697: 50 ± 5 %; Pot life at 25oc as per ASTM D 1640 : 3 to 4 hrs; Touch dry at 25oc as per ASTM D 1640: 15 – 30 mins; DFT per coat: 50-80 microns. The work Including cost of labour, machinery, materials, fuel, water charges for coating works etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Excluding Excavation and Scaffolding) Note: All the materials should be procured from the manufacturer who is a listed entity on the national stock exchange or should be approved by Government bodies like MCGM/CIDCO/MHADA/PWD etc
