The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed or substantially completed specific categories of work(s) during the last 07 (seven) years. These categories include: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 (seven) years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (iii) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. Additionally, the company should have an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years, excluding the current financial year, and be listed on the National Stock Exchange or Bombay Stock Exchange and incorporated/registered at least 5 years prior to the date of closing of the tender. In case of subletting work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. However, for other works, the bidder should have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed, with a cost not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subcontracted, in the last 5 years. The bidder with higher value of similar work done in the last three years and the current year may be given preference in case of more than one L-1 bidders.
