The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed similar works with specified values and percentages. The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. In case of tenders for composite works, the bidder must have completed: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. For subcontractors, they must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required if the work costs up to Rs 50 lakh. The value of similar works completed is considered for awarding the tender in case of a tie, with the tenderer having done more value of similar work in the last three previous financial years and the current financial year up to the date of opening of the tender being preferred. The required prior work experience for the bidder also includes substantially completed work, which means an ongoing work in which payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. Mentioned values and percentages include: - 30% of the advertised value of the tender - 40% of the advertised value of the tender - 60% of the advertised value of the tender - 35% of the value of the work to be subletted - 90% of the present contract value for substantially completed work - 7 years for consideration of completed work - Rs 50 lakh for exemption from previous work experience for subcontractors.
