The required prior work experience for the bidder includes satisfactorily executing work of similar nature as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor in the last three years. The similar work experience includes completed or ongoing works in various areas such as building construction, building maintenance, repairs, retrofitting, structural repairs, construction or repairs of asphalt/concrete roads, laying or rehabilitation of sewer lines, laying or rehabilitation of water pipe lines, repairs, maintenance, or construction of culverts, horticultural development and maintenance works, protection and maintenance of trees, and works related to tree census. The required prior work experience includes: - Three similar completed works each of value not less than 20% of the estimated cost put to tender - Two similar completed works each of value not less than 25% of the estimated cost put to tender - One similar completed work of value equal to or not less than 40% of the estimated cost put to tender The value of executed works shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a compound rate of 10% per annum. Private works experience shall not be considered. The bidder should have achieved an average annual financial turnover of 30% of the estimated cost of work in the last three financial years. The bid capacity of the prospective bidders will be calculated based on the maximum value of any works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the Financial year in which bids are received at a rate of 10% per year. The calculation of the bid capacity includes the formula: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A * N * 2 - B), where A is the maximum value of any works executed, N is the prescribed period for completion, and B is the value of existing commitments.
