The required prior work experience for the bidder varies based on the cost of the work. For works up to Rs 0.90 crore, the bidder should have a diploma engineer with 1 year of experience. For works between Rs 0.90 crore and Rs 1.5 crore, the bidder should have a graduate engineer with 2 years of experience or a diploma engineer with 5 years of experience. For works between Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 7.5 crore, the bidder should have a graduate engineer with 5 years of experience. For works above Rs 25 crore, the bidder should have a graduate engineer with 5 years of experience and a technical representative. The value of completed works shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a compound rate of 10% per annum. In case of ongoing works, the bidder must have received payment bills of 80% of the contract sum for the work executed. The bidder should have completed at least one contract of similar works in the last seven years. The bidder's bid capacity is calculated based on their maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the current price level, and considering their existing commitments. The bidder should also have access to financial means to meet at least 15% of the cost of the work tendered for.
