NOTES FOR ITEMS OF AIR CONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION WORK AS MENTIONED ABOVE: (A) The unit rate for AC work shall be demed to be included for the following and no extra payment shall be admissible to the contractor:
(a) Provision of foundations / pedestals for chiller units, pump sets, cooling tower make up water tank, chilled water tanks and LT Panels etc. Wall brackets, angles, clamps etc. as required for pipes, ducts and cables etc. (b) All civil work including PCC blocks for installing AHU, Foundation for Chillers, Pumps etc. opening in walls for duct, pipes and cables. (c) Taking down and Refixing and making Good of False Ceiling and boxing etc where ever required during execution of work.

(e) Phase I test for 24 hours will be carried out after completion and after successful completion, Test Certificate to be produced. Phase II Test for 72 Hours will be carried out in Summer, Monsoon and Winter. After completion of Three tests final Completion Certificate will be issued.
(f) The Unit is guaranteed for 12 Months from the date of issue of Provisional completion certificate.

This Prime cost lumpsum is prepriced by MES & the ADD/DEDUCT Percentage(%) will be shown in Column-56(Fifty Six) of this BOQ over the sum inserted by MES & Contractor has to quote their lumpsum rate in Column-13 in such way that the percentage worked out shall not exceed 15% (Fifteen Percent) & in case the percentage workedout exceeds 15% (Fifteen Percent) then the amount quoted/inserted shall be amended to ensure that the percentage shall not exceed 15% (Fifteen Percent). Please also refer condition 5 of IAFW-2249 General conditions of Contracts. Note-2. Contractor has to quote his unit rate only in Column-13 & the percentage for Prime cost sum will be calculated automatically in Column-56(Fifty Six).

NOTE FOR M&O ITEMS: (a) Work Order shall be placed every eleven months (not exceeding two years) and no price adjustment for this extension will be permissible.

(b) The AC plant & DG Sets will be operated in one shift of 8 hrs in a day unless otherwise specified by the Engineer-in-Charge/GE. Necessary adjustment will be made for non-operation of AC Plant / DG Sets shift-wise on pro rata basis of quoted rates of item No. 39.5 and 39.6 above respectively. Recovery rate shall be double the rate quoted by the bidder for each shift and shall be final and binding.

(c) Each shift will be manned by the following staff:- (i) The Operator being deployed in the work shall have a minimum qualification of IT (Refrigeration & AC) alternatively ITI (Mechnaical) holder with 5 years of experience in relevant field. Necessary Techncial Qualification certificate shall be produced for verification of Engineer-in-Charge and get the approval before deploying for work : 01 No. (ii) Helper with basic electrical knowledge : 01 No.

(d) Proper and efficient functioning of the plant must be ensured through regular inspection by qualified Engineer bi-monthly.

(e) After the defects liability period, the plant will be maintained by the Contractor by carrying out routeen maintainance as detailed in the PS. Any repairs/ replacement of parts will be carried out by the Contractor by engaging his labours, The materials / spares required will be supplied by the Department free of cost. Hence unit rate quoted against the item above will not include the cost of materials required for repairs for item No. 39.5 and 39.6 above.
