The required prior work experience for the bidder is that each non-lead member of the JV must have satisfactorily completed or substantially completed during the last 07 years, one similar single work for a minimum of 25% of the advertised value of the tender. The value of the similar work should be at least 10% of the cost of work. For the subcontractor, the prior work experience required is that they must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. In terms of percentage of similar works completed, the bidder should have completed at least 90% of the work in terms of payment, to be considered as substantially completed. The bidder should also have substantially completed work in the last 5 years, with payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value. The detailed monetary values mentioned include Rs 50 lakh for subletting of work, and Rs 1 crore for estimated cost of work for bid security calculation. For works estimated to cost up to ₹ 1 crore, the bid security is 2% of the estimated cost of the work. For works estimated to cost more than ₹ 1 crore, the bid security is ₹ 2 lakh plus ½% (half percent) of the excess of the estimated cost of work beyond ₹ 1 crore, subject to a maximum of ₹ 1 crore. The minimum average annual contractual turnover required is 1.5 V/N crores, where V is the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work.
