Taking down of old roof treatment of any description including demolition of mud phushka, lime, concrete, tiles , cement plaster, padding upto 30cm depth from roof surfaces etc including cleaning, brushing and watering to joints and grooves and throwing the same to a distance exc 250 mtr and n exc 500 mtr from the roof of height 3 to 9 m height etc and applying new water proofing roof treatment to RCC roof with approved modified membrane of weighing not less than 3 kg/sqm comprising with following items with and including materials and labour as under:-
(i) The surface of roof,parpet and gutters drain mouths etc over which water proofing treatment is to be applied shall be cleaned of all foreign matter such as fungus,mass dust etc by wire brushing and dusting. For cast iron drain outlets a groove shall be cut as specified and directed. A fillet of PCC (1:2:4) of 100x100mm shall be provided at all junctions of vertical and horizontal surfaces and wherever there is a change of dirction. The membrane should not be taken over at any steep turns and hence all corners/timers should be rounded.
(ii) Rendering 10 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 mixed with and including water proofing compound @ 3% by weight of cement applied over roof slab ,complete all as specified and directed.
(iii) Oil based Bitumen primer conforming to IS-3384-1986 @ 0.3 kgs per sqm to be applied on prepared surface till the surface is properly impregnated.
(iv) Applying one coat of hot blown grade bitumen 85/25 grade @ 1.20 kg/Sqm (v) Laying of water proofing teratment of weight not less than 3 Kg / sqm APP modified polymeric water proofing membrane composed of 100 micron (+10% ) high density polyethylene sheet ( HMHDPE) as center core, which is standwiched between high quality polymeric bitumen mix having softening , high heat resistance and cold flexible protected on either side with a thin thermo fusible HMHDPE film with side and laps 75 mm and 100 mm as per manufacture instruction etc.
(vi) Applying one coat of hot blown grade bitumen 85/25 grade @ 1.20 kg/Sqm over the membrane.
(vii) Applying aluminium paint in two coat @ 100 gm/sqm in each coat on finished membrane surfaces complete all as specified and directed at site .

Treatment for sunken portion is as follows :-
(i) Demolition of lean concrete and other type of filling in sunken portion & cleaned the sunken portion incl vertical wall surface complete as directed.
(ii) M&L for providing 12 mm dia holes of 40mm deep @200mm c/c at junction of beams and columns as co-ordinal points for inserting/pouring cement slurry by pressure grouting for sunken floors of toilet , includind sealing the holes with CM 1:3, all as specified and as directed by EIC.
(iii) M&L for water proofing plaster for sunken portion in CM 1:3, 20 mm thick in two coats with and including water proofing compound at the rate of 2% by weight of cement and finishing the surface even and smooth without using extra cement.
(iv) M&L for applying evenly two coats of industrial bitumen 85/25 at the rate of 1.20 Kg/Sqm in each coat over vertical surfaces and floors of sunken floors of toilet including cleaning of surfaces.
(v) M&L for PCC 1:7:12 type D2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in filling (sunken portion). etc.
(vi) M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B0 using 12.50 mm graded stone aggregate, mixed with including WPC @ 2% by wt. of cement, as sub base, 75mm thick. (vii) M&L for plastering in CM 1:4, 15 mm thick with incl water proofing compound at the rate of 2% by weight of cement and finishing the surface seven and fair.
Note :- above includes (a) Test again of water tightness by pounding for 72 hours & rectify defects if any till total elimination of defect.
(b) The sunken portion shall be tested for leakage / seepage / dampness by pounding with water for 72 hours. In case any defect is noticed the portion shall be grouted with cement slurry mixed with suitable chemical & tested again. The process of grouting and testing shall be repeated till leakage / seepage / dampness is eliminated (c) Horizontal flat area to be measered.
