BOQ Items
(j) All other parts/ items/ components of TRANSFORMERS which are necessary to be replaced in the opinion of Engr-in-Charge/ as per manuacturer's recommendations for smooth functioning of TRANSFORMERS, same shall also be replaced for smooth functioning and cost of the same shall also be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. Notes:- (i) This item includes complete overhauling/ repairing & servicing considering all materials & labours as specified in the item. (ii) HV/ LV leg coils of aluminium/ copper conductor shall be measured and paid for separately under respective items of BOQ.
(iii) Re-conditioning of HV/ LV leg coils of aluminium/ copper conductor shall be measured and paid for separately under respective item of BOQ.
(iv) HV/ LV spindles and bushings shall be measured and paid seprately under respective items of BOQ as "supply only".
(v) Filtration/ centrifusing of usable transformer oil including filter action by using automatic centrifusing machine shall be measured and paid for separately under respective item of BOQ.
(vi) Topping of TRANSFORMERS with new transformer oil of make as approved by GE if required and same shall be measured and paid for separately under respective item of BOQ.

(vii) Before issuing the completion certificate of work, contractor shall submit the list of parts/ items/ components of TRANSFORMERS which have been replaced under this item for smooth functioning of TRANSFORMERS, on his letter head showing the CA No. & name of work and Machine No. of repaired TRANSFORMERS and same shall be signed by concerned executive & Engr-in-Charge and shall be kept on record till defect liability period duly countersigned by GE.

(A) Disconnecting and taking down of faulty/ defective copper wound POWER TRANSFORMER of capacity 1600-5000KVA, ratio 33/11 KV from HR sub station/ Ridge Road Sub Station in Jabalpur cantt and transporting the POWER TRANSFORMER to workshop for complete overhauling/ repairing & servicing as specified in sub Para (B) here- in- after and transporting back the POWER TRANSFORMER from workshop to its existing location after complete overhauling/ repairing & servicing including loading & unloading of POWER TRANSFORMER into the truck with the help of skilled labours and re-installation of POWER TRANSFORMER at its existing position with the help of chain pullies & skilled labours and making all necessary incoming & outgoing connections and tightening of all connection nuts, bolts, screws etc including following tests at 33 KV before installation and commissioning at site complete all as specified & directed :-
(a) Insulation Resistance Test (By 5000 V Megger)
(b) Ratio Test
(c) Double Voltage & Double Frequency Test
(d) Transformer Oil Value BDV Test (e) Tap Changing Test of load for all tap position

Notes:- (i) POWER TRANSFORMER shall only be got repaired from authorised Workshop of Manufacturers of transformer or any other Workshop which have been authorised by MPSEB for repairing of transformer of such type & capacities and GE will approve the workshop in writing before shifting the POWER TRANSFORMER for repairing. (ii) Contractor will submit the certificate of authorised workshop along with RARs and final bill dully verified and signed by Engr-in-Charge.
(iii) Cost of cable jointing materials such as cable glands & lugs etc as required shall be deemed to be included in quoted rate and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (iv) All necessary T&P required at site for shifting of POWER TRANSFORMER shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost and quoted rate shall be deemed to include for all these provisions and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

(B) M&L for opening the top cover of defective copper wound POWER TRANSFORMER of capacity 1600-5000KVA, ratio 33/11 KV for complete overhauling/ repairing & servicing in folllowing manner:- (a) Taking out the transformer oil from POWER TRANSFORMER and store the same into separate barrel container .
(b) Taking out the core/ coil assembly of POWER TRANSFORMER.
(c ) Cleaning of POWER TRANSFORMER inside by using transformer oil.
(d) Re-fixing the core/ coils after complete repair/ replacement of core/ coils in POWER TRANSFORMER including heating up of POWER TRANSFORMER core assembly to remove complete moisture. (e) Replacement of HV/ LV spindles and bushings etc. as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE complete all as specified & directed.
(f) Re-filling of the removed POWER TRANSFORMER oil after filtration/ centrifusing. (g) Re-fixing of the POWER TRANSFORMER top cover with and including new rubberized gasket set and nuts, bolts and washers for top cover as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE and tightening of all nuts, bolts, screws & gasket etc

(h) Checking of all electrical and mechanical components at workshop after making the POWER TRANSFORMER fully functional.
(j) All other parts/ items/ components of POWER TRANSFORMER which are necessary to be replaced in the opinion of Engr-in-Charge/ as per manuacturer's recommendations for smooth functioning of POWER TRANSFORMER, same shall also be replaced for smooth functioning and cost of the same shall also be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.

This item involves all turns of leg coil to be reconditioned, removing complete insulation from conductor strip, cleaning of conductor, wrapping of conductor with fresh DPC insulation and remaking of LV leg coils with reconditioned strip complete all as directed by Engineer-in- Charge.)
