Pipe shall be provided vertically upto top level of earth pit and then taken horizontally to the earth pit and shown in Electrical Plate No- 3 of SSR Part-1 (2009) complete all as specified and as directed Note:- The quoted rate shall include cost of Cement concrete chamber of PCC (1:3:6) type C2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate ( The chamber shall be constructed one metre away from edge of earth pit) and. 50 mm thick pre cast cover of cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate and MS angle iron 50 x 50 x 6 mm frame including two coats of painting over a red oxide to exposed steel surfaces and Excavation in soft/ loose soil, returning filling and removal of surplus soil to a distance of 50 mm etc.

S&F in repairs XLPE insulated, armoured, 1100 volts grade, heavy duty cable of size 25 Sqmm nominal cross section, 3.5 core, aluminium conductor, served with inner sheathing of galvanized steel wire or tape and over-all PVC sheathed in service connections, laid in trenches, duct, through pipe, in floor, on pole including jointing with double compression copper stain less steel gland at DBs and testing, complete all as specified and as directed. Note for item 42 & 43. :- (i) Excavation and earth work to be measured and paid separately.

Excavation in trenches in soft/ loose soil not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 metre deep and not exc 10 Sqm on plan, for laying of cable and getting out, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for sand for cable cushioning with a layer of fine sand 8cm thick before laying of cable and 15cm thick after laying of cable in trenches complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Excavation and earth work to be measured and paid separately. (ii) Thickness of 18cms after punning shall be considered for payment.

S&F Cover to underground cable with one layer of bricks using sub class ‘B’ bricks (old size) laid flat across the cable complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in, earth including spreading, levelling watering and well ramming in layers each not exceeding 25cm thick each layer, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 3mtr mast made up of 40mm dia GI pipe medium grade with staywire accessories, insulator between Air termination and mast including cutting/ welding, nut bolts with base plate and PCC foundation suitable for with stand of mast complete all as specified.

S&F test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze of size 75mm x 75mm x 25mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screw for fixing the same on wall complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for earthing complete with Copper plate elecrode of size 60cm x 60cm x 3.15 mm thick burried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.5 mtr below the ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level, connected with and including Copper Strip 20mm x 3mm with & including GI pipe 50mm bore medium grade as protection pipe (upto the body of equipment max 7.50 meter) by means of GI and thimbles, earth plate surrounded packed layers of coal dust and common salt 15cm thick, all around top and bottom and watering pipe 20mm bore of GI pipe light grade with funnel and wire mesh complete all as shown in Electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I (2009), testing on completion including PCC chamber (1:3:6) using 20mm graded stone aggregate and RCC M-25 cover and angle iron frame complete all as specified. Note :- (i) The cost of GI strip/ wire from top of earth plate upto 5.00 meter above GL with GI protection pipe shall be deemed to be included in unit rate. (ii) PCC pit shall be provided at least 0.50 meters away from the earth pit and not just on the earth pit and extra cost of additional length of water pipes and fittings, junction elbow etc. shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate. (iii) In case the testing result of earthing work not found satisfactory, the contractor shall have to carry out earthwork at new location and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. (iv) The earthing work shall be carried out in presence of MES representative detained by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F air termination single pointed aluminium rod 12 mm dia and 300 mm long complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F aluminium strip 25 x 3 mm with saddles, insulators and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors on walls/above ground complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60cm x6 mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 meters below normal ground level, connected to GI earth strip 32x6 mm as earth lead 7.5 mtrs by means of bolts, nuts and washers of galvanised steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 connected to earthing test point complete all as specified and indicated including testing on completion complete. Note : The rate is deemed to be inclusive of the cost of complete earth work in any type of soil. PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 for chamber,RCC 1:2:4 type B1 for cover slab 50 mm thick, reinforcement 8 mm CTD bars @ 100 mm c/c both way, necessary form work, handle, charcoal dust 20mm dia GI med grade for watering and 40mm dia GI med grade earth lead protection pipes with funnel and wire mesh complete all as specified and as directed.
