The required prior work experience for the bidder varies depending on the type of work. For construction of civil structures except Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), the bidder must have experience of having successfully completed a single work worth minimum 40% cost of major civil component included in the tender. For construction of Water Treatment Plant upto 5 MLD output capacity, the bidder must have constructed a Water Treatment plant in the past with any technology for a minimum of 1 MLD output capacity. For construction of Water Treatment Plant above 5 MLD output capacity, the bidder must have constructed a Water Treatment Plant in the past with any technology for a minimum of 40% output capacity subject to a maximum of 40MLD. For construction of water treatment Plant with modern technology, the bidder must have constructed a Water Treatment Plant in the past with any Technology for minimum of 40% output capacity subject to a maximum of 40MLD, and also must have constructed a Water Treatment Plant in the past with similar Technology for minimum of 10% output capacity of the proposed treatment plant. For rehabilitation work of Water Treatment Plant, the bidder must have constructed/rehabilitated Water Treatment Plant in the past with similar Technology for minimum of 25% output capacity. For O&M work of Water Treatment Plant, the bidder must have constructed/rehabilitated/Operated & maintained Water Treatment Plant in the past with similar Technology for minimum of 25% output capacity. For construction of Sewage Treatment Plant upto 5 MLD capacity, the bidder must have constructed a Sewage Treatment Plant in the past with any technology for a minimum of 0.5 MLD capacity. For construction of Sewage Treatment Plant of capacity above 5 MLD, the bidder must have constructed a Sewage Treatment Plant in the past with any technology for a minimum of 10% capacity. For supplying and laying of Water Supply pipes above 400mm and up to and including 800mm diameter pipes, the bidder must have supplied and laid a total of 1000m of 300mm or higher sized pipes of any material in the past in a single work, or 500m for works where the total length of pipe line to be laid is less than or equal to 1000m. For supplying and laying of Water Supply pipes above 800mm diameter, the bidder must have supplied and laid a total of 1000m of 500mm or higher sized pipes of any material in the past in a single work, or 500m for works where the total length of pipe line to be laid is less than or equal to 1000m. Annual escalation at 5% (simple interest) will be allowed for the cost of works completed in the previous years. No experience is required for components in the scope of work of projects costing less than 10% of the Tendered PAC. The value of similar works completed is not explicitly stated, but a solvency certificate with a minimum amount of Rupees 3,08,66,596 (Rupees Three Crore Eight Lakh Sixty Six Thousand Five Hundred Ninety Six only) is required, which is 20% of the estimated PAC, subject to a maximum value of Rs. 5.00 Crores.
