The required prior work experience for the bidder varies depending on the type of work. For construction of civil structures, the bidder must have experience of having successfully completed a single work worth minimum 40% cost of major civil component included in the particular tender. For construction of Water Treatment Plant upto 5 MLD output capacity, the bidder must have constructed a Water Treatment Plant in the past with any technology for a minimum of 1 MLD output capacity. For construction of Water Treatment Plant above 5 MLD output capacity, the bidder must have constructed a Water Treatment Plant in the past with any technology for a minimum of 40% output capacity subject to a maximum of 40 MLD. For construction of Water Treatment Plants with modern technology, the bidder must have constructed a Water Treatment Plant in the past with any technology for a minimum of 40% output capacity subject to a maximum of 40 MLD, and also must have constructed a Water Treatment Plant in the past with similar technology for a minimum of 10% output capacity of the proposed treatment plant. For rehabilitation works of Water Treatment Plant, the bidder must have constructed/rehabilitated Water Treatment Plant in the past with similar technology for a minimum of 25% output capacity. For O&M works of Water Treatment Plant, the bidder must have constructed/rehabilitated/operated & maintained Water Treatment Plant in the past with similar technology for a minimum of 25% output capacity. For construction of Sewage Treatment Plant upto 5 MLD capacity, the bidder must have constructed a Sewage Treatment Plant in the past with any technology for a minimum of 0.5 MLD capacity. For construction of Sewage Treatment Plant of capacity above 5 MLD, the bidder must have constructed a Sewage Treatment Plant in the past with any technology for a minimum of 10% capacity. Annual escalation @ 5% (simple interest) will be allowed for the cost of works completed in the previous years. No experience is required for components in the scope of work of projects costing less than 10% of the Tendered PAC. For supplying and laying of Water Supply pipes above 400mm and upto and including 800mm diameter pipes of any material, experience will be insisted with respect to the highest diameter of the pipe in the scope of the work. The bidder needs to furnish a solvency certificate for a minimum amount of 20% of the estimated PAC, subject to a maximum value of Rs.5.00 Crores, and a minimum solvency of Rs.500 Lakhs. For works with an estimated cost from Rs.5 crores to Rs. 20 crores, the required prior work experience for the bidder includes specific personnel requirements, such as Works Manager, Site Engineer, and Supervisor. For works with an estimated cost above Rs. 20 crores, the required prior work experience for the bidder includes specific personnel requirements, such as Works Manager, Site Engineer, and Supervisor, with higher experience requirements. For supplying and laying of sewerage pipes above 400mm and up to and including 800mm diameter pipes of any material, the bidder must have supplied and laid a total of 1000m of 300mm or higher sized pipes of any material in the past in a single work, or 500m for works with a total length of pipeline to be laid less than or equal to 1000m. The bidder should submit sufficient testimonials from clients for similar type of work executed during the past ten years.
