The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid having value and formulas is as follows:

Also, Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A*N*M - B), where
A = Maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years (updated to the price level of the last year at the rate of 8 percent a year)
N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which bids are invited (period up to 6 months to be taken as ½ and more than 6 months as 1 in a year)
M = 2 or such higher figure not exceeding 3 as may be specified
B = Value, at the current price level, of existing commitments and on-going works to be completed during the period of completion of the works for which bids are invited.
The total bid capacity available shall be more than the estimated contract value.
Technical Capacity
The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal/Left Wing Extremist affected districts) of the estimated cost of the work, excluding maintenance cost for five years.
In terms of specific requirements, the bidder should have:
- Minimum Five years experience in Road Works for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum three years experience in Road Works for a Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum five years experience in Road Works for a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering for routine maintenance.
- Minimum one years experience in Road Works for a Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering for routine maintenance.
The value and percentage of similar works completed are mentioned as follows:
- one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal/Left Wing Extremist affected districts) of the estimated cost of work
- 60% of amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is up to Rs. 200 lakhs
- 75% of amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is more than Rs. 200 lakhs
- 50% in place of 60% and 75% in Naxal/Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts.
Additionally, the bidder's experience in road works under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is valued at 120% for the purpose of this requirement. The bidder must also demonstrate having experience and resources sufficient to meet the aggregate of the qualifying criteria for the individual contracts.
