Note applicable for item No 1.01, 1.02, 2.01 & 2.02:-
(a) The Contractor shall Employ General mechanic/Electrician having minimum ITI qualification from Govt Recognised institute with adequate knowledge & minimum 2 years experience in maint/operation of electric supply, water supply and fire fighting istallation and lift installations. The operator must competent to carry out the minor maint all as directed. (b) Contractor shall pay the wages to the employees through e-payment i.e Adhaar linked bank accounts (credit to their bank account). Engineer-in-charge shall ensure that e-payment made to employees and their wages shall not be less than minimum wages fixed by state Govt or Central Govt whichever is more. Monthly e-banking statement shall be furnished by the contractor to the Engr-in-charge and the same shall be kept in record duly verified.
(c) It is responsible of contractor to deposit the employees provident fund (EPF) to the connected authority as per the prevailing scales as laid down by the Ministry of labour for all operator/helper (as applicable) and necessay proof to this regard shall be submitted to Engr-in-charge for verification and records. The quoted rate shall be deemed to be included of above provisions. In case contractor fails to produce the proof of EPF, shall be liable for action as deemed fit. Decision of GE in this regard shall be final and binding.
(d) The contractor shall maintain all the registers under various labour law rules, 2017 and shall be produced to the Engineer-in-Charge as well as officers detailed by central labour department.

(e) Each shift duration shall be 8 hours & duty timing will be decided by Engr-in-Charge.
(f) The unit rate quoted shall deemed to be included for cost of labour for daily routine maintenance for trouble free functioning of installation.
(g) In case of any abnormal noise/ complaint the plant should be put off and same should be brought to the notice of Engr-in-charge.
(h) The operator shall check the loose connection, water leakage and inform Engr-in-charge regularly.
(j) The operator shall check the level of distilled water in battery & top up as when required.
(k) Check and tighten battery terminals properly if it found loose.
(l) The unit rate quoted shall deemed to be include for maintenance of earthpits, cutting & removing of vegitation and upkeep of the surrounding area, all around the bldg upto 6m from the plinth protection all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. In case of failure, a penalty of Rs 1000/- per month per plant/pump house will be levied and recovered from his dues.

(m) The operator employed by the contractor shall be capable of carrying out minor repair/ maintenance & should have well experience in electrical and water supply installation, fire fighting installation and lift installation as applicable. .
(n) The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of cotton waste, cleaning material etc & Contractor will ensure general area cleanliness and upkeep of the installation on daily basis.
(0) The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of tools & testing instruments required for operation & maintenance of electrical and water supply installation, fire fighting installation, and lift installation
(p) The rate quoted shall deemed to be inclusive of safety gear & required tools for minor maintenance. In case of failure to provide tools kit & safety kit (Gum boots-02 pairs, hand gloves), a penalty of Rs 3000/- will be recovered and levied (q) The Contractor shall not employ same tradesman continuously for more than 11 months during the Contract period.
(r) The contractor shall provide 02 uniforms to each operator and design of uniform shall be got approved. In case of failure, a penalty of Rs 1200/- per uniform will be levied and recovered from their dues. (s) In case of failure due to absence of operative staff, the contractor shall be liable to pay compensation at twice the cost of a day’s Manning & Operation derived from pro rata rate of Sch ‘A’ quoted rates. (t) The Contractor shall maintain proper records of all kinds of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly or whatsoever maint is carried out during contract period in a binded book / register and shall obtain the signature of Engineer-in-Charge every fortnightly. (u) The contractor shall provide board at proper location near each installations duly writting the name of operators and Mobile Numbers shifwise.
