Supply and fabrication of welded steel girders as per approved or RDSO latest drawing (32.5 ton Loading) with all up-to-date alterations and latest drawing with built up section of MS Plate ,channel, angle of different thickness and sizes including one coat primer painting with Zinc Chromate primer IS : 104 in hidden surfaces. The rate includes of supply of all steel section , costs of materials, fabrication like welding, cutting, drilling, grinding , shop bolting with HSFG bolts as per RDSO standard latest specification , IRS B1/2001,IS;800,S steel bridge code, IRS welded bridge code with supply of all labours, materials, tools and tackles, heavy machineries, testing equipments, structural steel section as per approved/RDSO drawing and all other consumables like welding wire, HSFG bolts with nuts,DTI washers & other service bolts nuts etc. The rates also includes transportation of febricated bridge girder from contractors workshop to the site of work with all lead, lift, crossing lines,loading, unloading etc.Note (1) The steel should confirm to IS 2062.Plate must be grade E250 Bo fully killed and fully normilized and rolled section.(ii)All steel materials required for febrication shall be procured from integrated steel manufacturer approved by RDSO.(iii) The contractor will observed safety as per IS 1179,IS 3016.(iv) The steel section shall be tested from any NABL approved laboratory, the cost of which will be borne by 1 the contractor (v) Fabrication of girder will be done at RDSO approved workshop and the workshop shall be equiped with all required tools, plants & machinaries,electric power/generator etc.Necessery QAP, WPQR & WPSS will be prepared by the contractor at his own cost and to be approved by RDSO/ other nominated authority before starting the fabrication work.(vi) The rate includes trial assembling and dismantling at workshop and assembling of girders at site. All fabrication works to be carried out as per IRS B1-2001 with all up-to-date correction slips and as per latest welded bridge code and to be done at any RDSO approved workshop approved by the competent authority.(vii) The contractor may avail 40% payment of the accepted rate for item no 1 after bringing the steel materials at febrication shop against B.G bond of equivalent amount after producing relevant papers of procurements,Challan and after third party UT and M & C test from NABL approved laboratory etc to the satisfaction of engineer-in-charge and validity of B.G bond will be upto the date of erection completed and B.G bond will be released after erection of girders over bearins.(viii)Further 50% of the accepted rate of item 1 only may be released against B.G bond of equivalent amount and after passing the febricated bridge girder by RDSO/Nominated inpecting agency and bringing the febricated materials to site by the contractor.The validity of BG bond will be upto the date of erection completed and these BG bond will be released after erection of girders over bearings.(ix) Balance 10% of the accepted rate of item 1 only will be released after successful erection of the febricated bridge girders.

Supply and fixing of phosphorus bronze plate with bed plate in proper location with true line and 2 level by necessary fixing arrangement as per approved drawing with all up-to-date alterations. The rate is inclussive of all drilling of holes, tools, plants, cosumable,labours etc. Phosphorus bronze plate are to be tested by RDSO or any Govt. approved Laboratories according to its specification, cost of which is to be borne by the contractor.

Sand blasting and Metallising the steel components of bridge girder with aluminium wires as per IRS -B1-2001,including applying one coat of wash primer IS 5666 & followed by one coat of zinc chromate primer IS: 104 and two coats of alluminium paints IS 2339 (one coat should be applied after applying & drying of zinc chromate primer IS 104 and 2nd coat of aluminium paint should be applied after erection including riveting completein all respect). The Rivet heads is to be Painted with one coat of zinc chromate primer IS: 104 followed by one coat of zinc chromate red oxide IS: 2074 before applying aluminium paints.During sand blasting surface 3 should be thoroughly cleaned, free from greases,rust scale or any other foreign material and roughened by compressed air with sutable abrasive material and grade of blasting shall conform ti IS 9954.The metal spraying of Aluminium shall be carried out as per IS :6568 .The Chemical composition of aluminium to be spread shall be in accordance with IS 2590.The surface of the the sprayed coating shall be uniform texture free from lumps coarse areas and loosely adherent particles.The minimum thickness of the spread aluminium coating shall be 150 micron,Cumulative thickness of metalissing and painting is to be measured with an Elcometer digital type/magnetic type as per choice of Engineer-In-Charge which will be supplied to railway free of cost before starting of work.All paints and aluminium wire to be tested from NABL approved laboratory.The Rate includes the cost of all labours,materials tools and plants,consumable materials etc.
