Bid Capacity
The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid having value can be calculated using the formula:

A = Maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year (up to date of inviting tender)

Additionally, the formula for calculating the average annual contractual turnover is:
Average Annual Contractual Turnover = (Total Contractual Payments in Year 1 + Total Contractual Payments in Year 2 + Total Contractual Payments in Year 3) / 3
The tenderer will be qualified only if its available bid capacity is equal to or more than the total bid value of the present tender, which is more than the specified amount.
Technical Capacity
The required prior work experience for the bidder involves completing specific categories of work(s) during the last 07 years. The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed one of the following:
(i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender,
(ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender,
(iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender.
In the case of composite works, the bidder must have completed one of the following categories:
(i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender,
(ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender,
(iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender.
For subcontractors, they must have completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years, unless the subletting work costs up to Rs.50 lakh, in which case no prior experience is required.
