The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completing similar works with specific values and percentages. The bidder must have completed: - Three similar completed or substantially completed works each of value not less than 40% of the advertised cost of the work. - Or, two similar completed or substantially completed works each of value not less than 50% of the average of the limit of the group. - Or, one similar completed or substantially completed work of value not less than 80% of the advertised cost of the work. Substantial completion means that works (asset and facilities) resulting from the contract performance can be or have been put to use for the purpose for which they were intended, with 80% (value-wise) or more works completed under the contract. The experience certificate shall have been issued by an officer of the rank not below an Executive Engineer of any Government Department/ Semi Government / PSU’s. Additionally, the bidder's experience is also considered in the calculation of the Available Bid Capacity, which includes the maximum value of engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the current price level at 7% per annum, and access to credit facilities of not less than 10% of the cost of work for which the firm is eligible for allotment.
