The bidder is required to have prior work experience in similar works. The experience criteria can be met in the following ways: - Three similar completed or substantially completed works each of value not less than 40% of the advertised cost of the work. - Two similar completed or substantially completed works each of value not less than 50% of the average of the limit of the group. - One similar completed or substantially completed work of value not less than 80% of the advertised cost of the work. The bidder should have a minimum annual turnover of 30% of the advertised cost for each of the last three financial years. The bidder should have completed works in the last five years, with performance certificates issued by an authority not less than an Executive Engineer. The value of work executed shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a simple rate of 7% per annum, calculated from the date of completion to the date of bid opening. Substantial completion means that works (asset and facilities) resulting from the contract performance can be or have been put to use for the purpose for which they were intended, with 80% (value wise) or more works completed under the contract. The experience certificate shall have been issued by an officer of the rank not below an Executive Engineer of any Government Department/ Semi Government / PSU’s. For contracts under which the applicant participated as a joint venture member, experience only up to the applicant's share by value shall be considered during evaluation of the bids.
