The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having completed similar works with specific criteria, such as: - Three similar completed or substantially completed works each of value not less than 40% of the advertised cost of the work. - Or, two similar completed or substantially completed works each of value not less than 50% of the average of the limit of the group. - Or, one similar completed or substantially completed work of value not less than 80% of the advertised cost of the work. The value of work executed shall be brought to current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a simple rate of 07% per annum. The bidder should have experience in construction of hydraulic/civil structures and well works, and SITC of pumping units or power transformer of at least 80% capacity of tendered equipment. The bidder should have an annual turnover of at least 30% of the advertised cost for each of the last three financial years. Substantial completion means that works (asset and facilities) resulting from the contract performance can be or have been put to use for the purpose for which they were intended, with 80% (value wise) or more works completed under the contract. The experience certificate shall have been issued by an officer of the rank not below an Executive Engineer of any Government Department/ Semi Government / PSU’s. For joint ventures, the lead partner should have at least 51% of the prescribed experience/turnover, while the second partner should have at least 26% of the prescribed experience/turnover. The overall sum of all partners should aggregate to 100% of the prescribed experience/turnover clause.
