The required prior work experience for the bidder includes: - One similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of work. - Annual turnover of at least 75% (or 60% in other cases, and 50% in Naxal/Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts) of the amount put to bid. - Experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. - Work experience as prime Contractor or sub-contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. - Execution of road works under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated completion period, with the financial turnover achieved on account of execution of road works under PMGSY counted as 120% for the purpose of this sub-clause. The value of road work completed by the bidder under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this Sub-Clause. The bidder's annual turnover should be at least 75% of the amount put to bid, in case the amount put to bid is more than Rs. 200 lakhs, or 60% in other cases, with the turnover indexed at the rate of 8% per year. The bidder's available bid capacity for construction work should be equal to or more than the total bid value excluding maintenance. The available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the price level of the last year at the rate of 8 percent a year. The bidder's proposal for subcontracting the components of the Works for construction/up-gradation should not exceed 25 percent of the Contract Price. The amount of Bid Security shall be Rs. 16.52 Lacs, which is 2 percent of the estimated value of the Works.
