The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having successfully completed or substantially completed similar works during the last seven financial years. The requirements for similar works completed are as follows: - Three similar completed works, each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost. - Two similar completed works, each costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost. - One similar completed work, costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. Substantial completions are based on 80% (value-wise) or more works completed under the contract. The value of work executed shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a simple rate of 7% per financial year. The bidder should also have a minimum annual value of general construction work, with at least 50% of which is from Civil Engineering construction works carried out in any of the last five financial years. Additionally, the bidder should have experience in construction works of similar nature over the last seven financial years as a prime contractor. The available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering constructions works executed in any one financial year during the last five years, updated to the current price level. The bidder's financial turnover achieved on execution of civil engineering constructions works for the last five financial years should be duly certified by a Chartered Accountant. Liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities should be 10% of the advance cost. The bidder should have completed similar works with a value of not less than 50% or 80% of the advertised cost. Specifically, the bidder should have: - Two similar completed works, each costing not less than 50% of the advertised cost, or - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the advertised cost. The available bid capacity is calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering constructions works executed in any one year during the last five financial years, updated to the current price level, and considering the completed and ongoing works. The amount of minimum cash to be invested by the bidder is up to 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract. The bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the total estimated cost of the works. The available bid capacity is calculated as (A x N x M - B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering constructions works executed in any one year during the last five financial years. The value of similar works completed should be updated to the current price level of the year indicated, taking into account the completed as well as works in progress. The bidder should also have liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities of not less than the amount indicated, usually the equivalent of the estimated cash flow for three months in the peak construction period. For a package of contracts, the bidder must demonstrate having experience and resources sufficient to meet the aggregate of the qualifying criteria for the individual contracts.
