Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 11KV 400A switch disconnector outdoor panel for protection of 63 KVA Transformer
The Load break switch shall use low pressure SF6 gas for current interruption and shall require no maintenance. Leakage rate shall not be over 0.1% per year, for life span of at least 30 years.It shall have three positions (closed, open and earthed). The switching device shall be suitable for three-phase systems operating at 12 kV and 50/60 Hz. The rated voltage shall be at least 12 kV. The short-time withstand current shall be 25 kA - 1 s / 12 kV.
LBS panel should be provided with fuse trip assembly and HRC fuses of appropriate rating for protection of 63 KVA transformer.The operating mechanism should have following functions. (a).Switch function: independent-operation closing by lever. Operating energy is provided by a compressed spring which, when released, causes the contacts to close. independent-operation opening by push-button (O) or trip units. (b) Earthing-switch function: Independent-operation closing and opening by lever. Operating energy is provided by a compressed spring which, when released, causes the contacts to open or close. (c). Switch: The switch shall use low pressure SF6 gas for current interruption and shall require no maintenance. The switch enclosure shall be mounted horizontally within the cubicle and the position of the main and earthing contacts shall be clearly visible from the front of the cubicle. The position indicator shall be placed directly on the contact-operating shaft. The switch enclosures shall be made of cast epoxy resin. The mechanical endurance of the switch operating mechanisms shall ensure at least1000 operations class M1.
LBS Panel: Medium voltage switchgear shall comply with the latest issues of the IEC recommendations: IEC 62271-200. Switchgear shall be Free standing, Floor mounted, metal enclosed suitable for Outdoor use. The frame of individual vertical panels shall be minimum 2 mm CRCA. Degree of protection shall not be less than IP55. All hardware shall be corrosion resistant. Busbar shall be high conductivity Copper supported on insulators made of non-hygroscopic, non-inflammable material. Panel shall be provided with earth busbar of copper of suitable size rated for short time rating of switch board and Provision for receiving incoming or outgoing power cable

Earthing of the Power Circuit: Cable earthing shall be carried out by an earthing switch with a short-circuit making capacity, in accordance with IEC 62271-102 recommendations. It shall be possible to operate the earthing switch when the switch or disconnector is open. Mechanical interlocking systems (rotating switch with 3 positions )shall be provided to prevent incorrect operations such as the closing of the earthing switch with the switch or disconnector in closed position
Control Wiring: The wiring shall be carried out using multi-strand copper conductor super flexible PVC insulated wires of 650/1100V Grade for AC Power. Control terminals shall be screw type for auxiliary wiring Minimum 10% spare terminals shall be provided for control circuit.
Note:- Extra 02 Nos additional set of HRC fuses suitable for protection of 63 KVA transformer shall be provided by the contractor

Supply and fixIing of 11 KV HT Bus bar, Outdoor type, suitable for 11000 Volts, AC 3 Phase supply, 400 Amps, Unit fabricated out of 3.15 mm steel or MS steel enclosure suitable with MS Base Channel. The panel contains the equipments & components complete with copper bus bar interconnections, designation labels caution notices and pad locking facilities wherever required. The size of the bus bar not less than 1200x1000x800 mm to accommodate the incoming and outgoing cable connections with front and back hinged doors with proper locking arrangement, rubber gasket on front and back to make it dust and vermin proof, powder coated. The cubicle shall have frame work, bottom & 50 Cm long four legs of size 50 x 50 x 6 mm Angle iron. The panel shall be mounted on floor with PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (with 20 mm graded stone aggregate) foundation block of suitable size upto 40 cm above the ground and 60 cm below the ground level.

Earthing complete as per electrical plate No 5 of MES SSR Part I with copper earth plate earth electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 3.15 mm, burried directly vertically in ground in a pit of depth not less than 2.5 metres below ground level with the top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.8 m below normal ground level connected to and including copper earthing strip 20 x 3 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel. Earthing wire protected by galvanised iron or steel pipe 50 mm bore medium grade and connected to continuous earth wire on pole/ test point. Watering pipe shall be 20 mm bore GI medium grade.
