Disconnecting electrical connections from HT and LT sides of old serviceable/ damaged/ burnt step down transformers of any descriptions, capacity exceeding 25 KVA but not exceeding 100 KVA, any type and taking down from the platforms or mounted on exisiting position (four poles/ two pole structure) by hydraulic cranes of suitable capacity and transporting by truck/ lorry to the workshop, opening top cover, draining out the transformer oil in clean barrels, cleaning of sludge from oil tank and conservator tank, cleaning and polishing of tapping contact point, opening carefully copper wire/ strip wound LT coils and rewinding the same after providing new necessary insulating packing material by using the same old strip/ wire, refitting top cover with replacement of studs, nuts, bolts, washers and gasket after repairs/ replacement of unserviceable parts and cleaning the transformer and making the transformer absolutely leak proof, pouring in the insulating oil in the transformer, placing in original position on four pole/ two pole structure/ platform at site and making all HT/LT connections including testing the transformer after necessary repairs, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Note: Spares required for repair/ replacement of unserviceable parts shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of BOQ.
