M&L for brazing in repair work for copper strip not exceeding 3.2 cm in length and not exceeding 6 mm in thickness, complete all as specifed and directed.

S&F in replacement of saddle/insulator for strip with fixing arrangement in roof/wall of building having configuration upto G+5 for run of strips on it, complete all as specifed and directed.

Refixing only of strip (serviceable strips as obtained from taking down) of any type & size but including saddles/insulators with screws for fixing, complete all as specifed and directed.

S&F aluminium strip 25x3.15 mm with saddles/insulators, complete with fixing screws for roof/down conductors/main earthing lead, including bracing/jointing and nut bolts jointing at all joints, complete all as specifed and directed.

S&F copper strip 32 x 6 mm earthing lead laid in trenches/GI pipe for making grid/loop of earthing pit complete all as required at site, complete all as specifed and directed.

S&F copper strip 20x3.15 mm with saddles/insulators, complete with fixing screws for roof/down conductors/main earthing lead, including bracing and nut bolts jointing at all joints, complete all as specifed and directed.

S&F galvanized iron strip 25x4 mm with saddles/insulators, complete with fixing screws for roof/down conductors/main earthing lead, including bracing/welding and nut bolts jointing at all joints, complete all as specifed and directed.

Taking down the existing aluminium/copper strip of any size and type from the top of blast pens/ground/equipment/bldg (roof/down conductor) and keeping in shape custody (for serviceable strips to re-use), complete all as specifed and directed.

M&L for Test point terminal block for earthing made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm driled and srewed including 3 nos 8mm dia 25mm long hexa head screw, complete as specified and directed.

M&L for plate earthing complete with galvanized mild steel plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (in earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below ground level) with the top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 meter below normal ground level, the earth electrode surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust and salt to a packed thickness of 15 cm on all sides and including GI wire 4 mm bolted (with GI nuts, bolts & check nuts) and riveted to earth (Plate) electrode at one end and connected to main switch board /panel/ test point at the other including watering GI pipe (medium grade) 20 mm bore from bottom of earth pit to top of electrode and 20 mm GI pipe light grade for earth strip protection complete with earth pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B0 using 12 mm graded crushed stone aggregate, RCC cover, funnel, wire mesh including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, returning filling in and removal of surplus soil, complete all as specifed and directed.

M&L for Chemical Earthing cum Maintenance free earthing system complete UL-467 approved copper earth plate 900mmx600mmx5mm( purity above 99%) burried in ground to vertically to a depth not less than 3.5m deep below ground level with top edge earth electrode at a depth not less than 500 mm below normal ground level , provision of copper bus bar of size 200 mm x 25mmx 6 mm for inter connection with copper earth lead strip 32mmx6 mm and further connected to test point terminal block of size 120 mm x 120 mmx 25 mm made of copper as directed by watering pipe light grade with CI/ MS funnel and wire mesh including excavation earth work in any type of soil and removil surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m only, continuous copper strips/brazing to be used only including 45 Kg (minimum)NABL Lab certified backfill compound marconite for single bore holes soil mixed , alternate layers of conductive concrete resistivity of 0.001 Ohm & carbon based maintenance free compound (20 Kgs bagx5) make as per IEEE 80 2000, Clause 14.5 D Maintenance free earthing system to give earth resistance below 1 Ohms including excavation and earth work and earth to neutral voltage less than 2 volts, PCC chamber of PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate with pit covers of 300mmx 300 mm made of cast iron including painting as per color coding as per IS, complete all as specifed and directed. Note:(i) Copper strip 7.5 mtr and their joints included in the quoted rate from earth pit to test point. (ii) Contractor should ensure that result of each earthing is less than 1 Ohm and in case soil is not suitable for the same is to be placed suitable clay soil to bring the desired result. Contractor shall quote rates after site visit accordingly. (iii) On testing after completion if the desired resistance is not obtained the contractor shall redo the earthing without any extra cost to department. (iv) Work includes brazing work for earth strip. (v) Work includes brazing of Cu strip to copper earth electrode Make for backfill, conductive concrete- marconite.

M&L for dismantling of PCC earth pit chamber including excavate the old earthing and making PCC chamber of size as per electrical plate No. 3 of SSR-2009 Part-I with PCC (1:2:4) type B1 including RCC cover with suitable size of handle including excavation and earth work as required at site, complete all as specifed and directed.

S&F in replacement of funnel with wire mesh suitable for each pit as per site requirement, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of RCC cover of earth pit of size as per electrical plate No. 3 of SSR-2009, Part-I complete with suitable handle, complete all as specifed and directed.

M&L for common salt commercial, for recharging of earthing pits by filling in earthing pits, complete all as specifed and directed. (Note:- Recharging materials shall be soluble in water and to be filled/ poured in earth pit after mixing in water in appropriate quantity.)

M&L for Charcoal dust/Breeze, etc. for recharging of earthing pits by filling in earthing pits, complete all as specifed and directed.

M&L for plain cement concrete in foundation 1:2:4 type B-2 with 40 mm graded stone aggregate to support the pipe/ angle as required on site including breaking of existing, complete all as specifed and directed.

S&F in replacement of GI tubing 20mm bore medium grade for watering from bottom of earth pit to top of electrode in trenches/ floor/ fixed along pole for watering of earthing with proper size of MS clamp, nut, bolts and washers, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of GI tubing 40mm bore light grade in trenches/floor/fixed along pole for cable/earth strip protection with proper size of MS clamp, nut, bolts and washers, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of single pointed air termination aluminium rod 12mm dia, 300mm long to fix on wall/roof/pipes with suitable MS clamp, nuts, bolts and washers as required at site, complete all as specified and directed. (Note: MS/PCC work shall be measured and paid seperately).

AMC of all type of existing earthings in the station by carrying out the following:- (a) Separating the earthing strip from the test point by opening the nut bolts or by cutting the earth strip as required and carrying out earth testing by a calibrated digital earth tester of renowned make ( ISI marked) in presence of JE E/M /Engr-in- charge & rep of user. (b) A earth testing register shall be opened and values to be noted down with signature of rep of user. (C) In case desired values is not achieved ,measure such as watering the earth pit to be done before carrying out retest of same earthing pit. In the event of not achieving the desired value ,earthing pit will be repaired by digging the earth pit to required level and adding salt & coal or replacement with new earthing as directed . Note:- (1) Watering of earthing pit to be attain desired value is using water bowser or by any means included the quoated raated (2) In case desired value is not achieved and earthing is required to be repaired or redone new earthing ,same shall be done as per direction of GE/ Engr-in-charge for which rate will be paid separately under relevant items of schedule. (3) Calibrated &ISI marked Earth tester shall be arranged by contractor &included in quoated rate. (4) Earth testing register to be filled with date & signature of rep of user .Unsigned values noted in the register will not be accepted. (5) Broken Earthing pits /funnels /pipe to be replaced for which rates shall be quoated separately BOQ. (6) An experience & qualified manpower shall only be engaged to carrying out the earth testing. (7) Refixing of earthing strip to the test point /brazing /fixing nut bolt to make good the testing strip will be carrying out & to be included in the quoated rate. (8) If restesting of earthing is required after repairs, same shall be paid extra.

Taking down Old material retrieved from copper/chemical/ GI earthing any type and size, complete all as specifed and directed.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 meter wide and not excedding 1.5 meter in depth in soft/loose soil for repairing of earthing pit and getting out complete all as specified.

Excavation in trenches, n.exc 1.5m wide and exc. 1.5m in depth but n.exc 3m in soft/loose soil for repairing of earthing pit and getting out, complete all as specifed and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layer not exceeding 25 cm, complete all as specifed and directed.

Removing excavated material not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point of any type of soil, complete all as specifed and directed.

Note :- An amount of Rs. 76,570.00 on account of credit schdule for Sch 'A' Part-II Shall be deducted from the total amount of BOQ to arrive at the contract sum.
