Preparing water bound macadom surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous (VG-30) primer using paving bitumen at 10 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% bitumen binder content by weight of total mix using 20mm crushed stone aggregate, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne vibrator power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i)Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be mixed in automatic temperature controlled hot mixing plant, transported and premix carpet shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller. (ii) refer PS clause No. 12.4.2 applicable.

Providing premix bituminous macadam ( VG-30) (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) with 4% binder content of paving bitumen (VG-30) by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Bituminous macadam shall be mixed in hot mix plant, transported and shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller.

Applying evenly a priming / tack coat with Bituminous Primer(VG-30) in 10 kg / 10 Sqm surface Complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note:- (i)Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be mixed in automatic temperature controlled hot mixing plant, transported and premix carpet shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller. (ii) refer PS clause No. 12.4.2 applicable.

Road side berms with moorum / Red bajri 100 mm thick (spread thickness) on either side of Road using approved eath exevated from outside of defence land spreading , levelling , watering and well ramming with hand roller 0.5 tones capacity finish to required gradient and camber complete. Note- Rate of earth work and transportation to site of approved earth from outside of defence land will be inclusive in rate quoted by Contractor and nothing extra payment shall be admisible in this account.
