M&L for brazing in repair work for copper strip not exceeding 3.2 cm in length and not exceeding 6 mm in thickness complete all as specified.

S&F in replacement of saddle/insulator for strip with fixing arrangement in roof/wall of building having configuration upto G+5 for run of strips on it complete all as specified and directed.

Refixing only of strip (serviceable strips as obtained from taking down) of any type & size but including saddles/insulators with screws for fixing complete all as specified.

S&F aluminium strip 25x3.15 mm with saddles/insulators, complete with fixing screws for roof/down conductors/main earthing lead, including bracing/jointing and nut bolts jointing at all joints complete all as specified.

S&F copper strip 32 x 6 mm earthing lead laid in trenches/GI pipe for making grid/loop of earthing pit complete all as required at site all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

S&F copper strip 20x3.15 mm with saddles/insulators, complete with fixing screws for roof/down conductors/main earthing lead, including bracing and nut bolts jointing at all joints complete all as specified.

S&F galvanized iron strip 25x4 mm with saddles/insulators, complete with fixing screws for roof/down conductors/main earthing lead, including bracing/welding and nut bolts jointing at all joints complete all as specified.

Taking down the existing aluminium/copper strip of any size and type from the top of blast pens/ground/equipment/bldg (roof/down conductor) and keeping in safe custody (for serviceable strips to re-use ) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Test point terminal block for earthing made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm driled and srewed including 3 nos 8mm dia 25mm long hex head srew,complete as specified and directed.

M&L for plate earthing complete with galvanized mild steel plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (in earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below ground level) with the top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 meter below normal ground level, the earth electrode surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust and salt to a packed thickness of 15 cm on all sides and including GI wire 4 mm bolted (with GI nuts, bolts & check nuts) and riveted to earth (Plate) electrode at one end and connected to main switch board /panel/ test point at the other including watering GI pipe (medium grade) 20 mm bore from bottom of earth pit to top of electrode and 20 mm GI pipe light grade for earth strip protection complete with earth pit in PCC 1:2:4 type by using 12 mm graded crushed stone aggregate, RCC cover, funnel, wire mesh including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, returning filling in and removal of surplus soil complete all as specified.

M&L for Chemical Earthing cum Maintenance free earthing system complete UL-467 approved copper earth plate 900mmx600mmx5mm( purity above 99%) burried in ground to vertically to a depth not less than 3.5m deep below ground level with top edge earth electrode at a depth not less than 500 mm below normal ground level , provision of copper bus plate of size 200 mm x 25mmx 6 mm for inter connection with copper earth lead strip 32mmx6 mm and further connected to test point terminal block of size 120 mm x 120 mmx 25 mm made of copper as directed by watering pipe light grade with CI/ MS funnel and wire mesh including excavation earth work in any type of soil and removil surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m only, continuous copper strips/brazing to be used only including 45 Kg (minimum)NABL Lab certified backfill compound marconite for single bore holes soil mixed , alternate layers of conductive concrete resistivity of 0.001 Ohm & carbon based maintenance free compound (20 Kgs bagx5) make as per IEEE 80 2000, Clause 14.5 D Maintenance free earthing system to give earth resistance below 1 Ohms including excavation and earth work and earth to neutral voltage less than 2 volts, PCC chamber of PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate with pit covers of 300mmx 300 mm made of cast iron including painting as per color coding as per IS,complete as specifed and directed. Note:(i) Copper strip 7.5 mtr and their joints included in the quoted rate from earth pit to test point. (ii) Contractor should ensure that result of each earthing is less than 1 Ohm and in case soil is not suitable for the same is to be placed suitable clay soil to bring the desired result. Contractor shall qute rates after site visit accordingly. (iii) On testing after completion if the desired resistance is not obtained the contractor shall redo the earthing without any extra cost to department. Supply and intallation of advance maintance free tripod ring earthing system by boring the required nos of holes of dimension 8 to 10 inch wide and length of hole should be less than approximately 2 inches of the electrode length in semi hard soil or hard soil consisting of three Nos (UL) 467-2007 or latest as well as IEC 62561 listed CPRI tested Pure copper tube earth electrode designed in accordance to IS:3043(1987).The system consists of copper tube earth electrode having purity of 99.99%.There is a copper strip inside it which is pressure filled with highly conductive crystalline mixture of metal alloys and other conductive material.Both the ends of the electrode should be permanently sealed with the extended terminal having two holes at the top for connecting the earthing system to the equipment/load.The Copper tube earth electrode should be of outer dia 50 mm,thickness of rod 01mm and length 03 mtrs tested according to IEC 62561-2 with minimum 10 years life span (the rod should be marked as per the UL certification ) including min 25 Kgs/electrode of earth enhancing compound (PROCEM) NABL certified, CPRI tested eco friendely tested as per the IEC 62561-7 and needs to be considered to fill the 100 mm bored hole surrounding to the electrode. the earth enhancing compound should have restivity less than 50 ohm-meter with chemically inert to sub soil that should not pollute the envoriment and non corrisiovie to the earth electrode itself. Provision of the connector for connecting electrode with earthing conductor/strip including fastner made of stainless steel/copper/brass as directed having suitable size according to the electrode and earthing conductor dimensions. all the three earthing electrode would be seperated by appropriate distance of not less than 3m and not more than 6m and connected to Each other by and including 25X3mm copper strip to make ring earth and further to be connected to the testpoint and to be buried in appropriate depth not less than 500 mm below the normal ground level and earth pit chamber of suitable size not less than 300mmX3000mmX300mm internal dimension made of FRP material complete with flush mounted, removable and locakable cover able to withstand 15kN for Each earth electrode all as directed by engineer in charge.The interconnecting conductor/copper strip shall also be covered with approximately 30 kg of earth enhancing compound for each 3 metres length of strips all to be included in quoted rate itself. The Earth pit inspection chamber should be as per IEC 62561-5 or latest and will be of 300x300x300 mm inside dimension of RCC with 50 mm thick and fine finish.The marking space should be present on RCC Cover.The chamber should have facility for making earth resistance and latst testing date by paint at the cover and previous recorded values inside the cover. Make OBD Bettermann/Fruse/KLK/Erico/True power all as per description of engineer in charge.Note-copper strip of 7.5m length from earthing electrode to the test point and copper strip required for interconnections of rods to make rings of approximately 9metre is included in the quoted rate.

Note for item 15 & 16:- (a) the rate shall include excavation of earth,removal of surplus soil and filling with back fill compound etc for completion of the job. (b) earthing resistance result should be less than 1 Ohm. If the result comes more than 1 Ohm, the contractor will be carried out the earthin in seperate location/site or as given by the engineer in charge after taking out of earth electrode all with out any extra cost to the department (c) the contractor will provide all the required and necessary certificates as per the specification for required items mentioned above from the same company before incorporting the same in the work as per engineer in charge. and the rep of the company should be avaliable at the site for the installation of the earthing as per their recommendation and specification to obtain the minimum resistance value. (d) testing equipment will be duly tested from authorized goverment.lab/CRPI lab and sealed by the testing authority and produce test certificate of testing equipment before testing for wich no extra payment shall be borne by the department (e) testing of earthing after completion of work will be carried out in presence of the GE, engineer in charge,rep of user and the contractor. (f) contractor/manufacturer will be provided the gurantee for earthing and result for the period of at least five years.

M&L for dismantling of PCC earth pit chamber including excavate the old earthing and making PCC chamber of size as per electrical plate No. 3 of SSR-2009 Part-I with PCC (1:2:4) type B1 including RCC cover with suitable size of handle including excavation and earth work as required at site complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in replacement of funnel with wire mesh suitable for each pit as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of RCC cover of earth pit of size as per electrical plate No. 3 of SSR-2009, Part-I complete with suitable handle complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for common salt commercial , for recharging of earthing pits by filling in earthing pits complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. (Note:- Recharging materials shall be soluble in water and to be filled/poured in earth pit after mixing in water in appropriate quantity.)

M&L for Charcoal dust/Breeze ,etc for recharging of earthing pits by filling in earthing pits complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F in replacement of GI tubing 20mm bore medium grade for watering from bottom of earth pit to top of electrode in trenches/floor/fixed along pole/wall for watering of earthing with proper size of MS clamp, nut, bolts and washers complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of GI tubing 40mm bore light grade in trenches/floor/fixed along pole for cable/earth strip protection with proper size of MS clamp, nut, bolts and washers complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of single pointed air termination aluminium rod 12mm dia, 300mm long to fix on wall/roof/pipes with suitable MS clamp, nuts, bolts and washers as required at site complete all as specified and directed. (Note: MS/PCC repair work shall deemed to be included in quoted rate.

Testing of all type of existing earthings in the station by carrying out the following:- (a) Seperating the earthing strip from the test point by opening the nut bolts or by cutting the earth strip as required and carrying out earth testing by a calibrated digital earth tester of renowned make ( ISI marked) in presence of JE E/M /Engr-in- charge & rep of user. (b) A earth testing register shall be opened and values to be noted down with signature of rep of user. (C) In case desired values is not achieved ,measure such as watering the earth pit to be done before carrying out retest of same earthing pit. In the event of not achieving the desired value ,earthing pit will be repaired by digging the earth pit to required level and adding salt & coal or replacement with new earthing as directed . Note:- (1) Watering of earthing pit to be attain desired value is using water bowser or by any means included the quoated raated (2) In case desired value is not achieved and earthing is required to be repaired or redone new earthing ,same shall be done as per direction of GE/ Engr-in-charge for which rate will be paid separately under relevant items of schedule. (3) Calibrated &ISI marked Earth tester shall be arranged by contractor &included in quoated rate. (4) Earth testing register to be filled with date & signature of rep of user .Unsigned values noted in the register will not be accepted. (5) Broken Earthing pits /funnels /pipe to be replaced for which rates shall be quoated separately BOQ. (6) An experience & qualified manpower shall only be engaged to carrying out the earth testing. (7) Refixing of earthing strip to the test point /brazing /fixing nut bolt to make good the testing strip will be carrying out & to be included in the quoated rate. (8) If restesting of earthing is required after repairs ,same shall be paid extra.

Taking down Old material retrieved from copper/chemical/ GI earthing any type and size.

Supply & fix 15 mm Taps of cast iron or malleable cast iron galvanised,screwed for GI pipe and fixed with 15mm dia bore pipe for filling water to earth pit.complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Supply & fix 15mm dia stop valves cast copper alloy screwed down high pressures, with crutch or butterfly handle screwed both ends for iron pipe or for unions and fixed complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for pouring of Earth Recharger water soluble soil reactivation earthing compound in GEL form per litre complete by excavating Earthing pits for pouring of Earth recharger compound gel in Earthing pit by digging 1 feet deep around the earth pit, mixing the earth recharger with 10 litre of water separately and pouring the solution into digged hole slowly slowly within a period of 02 hours,leaving the solution with earth pit for 04 hours and then checking the resistance all as specified and directed by engineer in charge.
