Testing of all type of existing earthings in the station by carrying out the following:- (a) Seperating the earthing strip from the test point by opening the nut bolts or by cutting the earth strip as required and carrying out earth testing by a calibrated digital earth tester of renowned make ( ISI marked) in presence of JE E/M /Engr-in- charge & rep of user. (b) A earth testing register shall be opened and values to be noted down with signature of rep of user. (C) In case desired values is not achieved ,measure such as watering the earth pit to be done before carrying out retest of same earthing pit. In the event of not achieving the desired value ,earthing pit will be repaired by digging the earth pit to required level and adding salt & coal or replacement with new earthing as directed . Note:- (1) Watering of earthing pit to be attain desired value is using water bowser or by any means included the quoated raated (2) In case desired value is not achieved and earthing is required to be repaired or redone new earthing ,same shall be done as per direction of GE/ Engr-in-charge for which rate will be paid separately under relevant items of schedule. (3) Calibrated &ISI marked Earth tester shall be arranged by contractor &included in quoated rate. (4) Earth testing register to be filled with date & signature of rep of user .Unsigned values noted in the register will not be accepted. (5) Broken Earthing pits /funnels /pipe to be replaced for which rates shall be quoated separately BOQ. (6) An experience & qualified manpower shall only be engaged to carrying out the earth testing. (7) Refixing of earthing strip to the test point /brazing /fixing nut bolt to make good the testing strip will be carrying out & to be included in the quoated rate. (8) If restesting of earthing is required after repairs ,same shall be paid extra.
