Providing, Laying,Jointing in trenches to be levelled to grade and testing of below mentioned dia Galvanized MSERW plain ended pipe conforming to IS/ISO 3183-2017 grade L-210 or 4as per dimensions weight and test pressure mentioned below in a random length of 5.5m - 6.5m. The M.S. flanges are to be provided 5% of total joints as per table below conforming to 6392-1971 ( Latest uptodate ammendments) and welding of M.S. flanges with pipe as per IS: 816-1965 with electrode as per IS: 814-1967 including required Nos. and size of M.S. nuts and bolts as per IS: 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fibre jointing gaskets sheet not less than 3mm thick as per IS: 27121-1965. The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers to make the joints leak proof including all kind of specials such as bends of all degree to be made from parent tube, short pieces, tail pieces all made from parent tube and to the entire satisfaction of enginer-in-charge. The pipes end should be bevelled suitable for butt welding. The Circumferencial butt welded joints by electrical arc welding to following dia & class pipes,welding of pipes to be done in three layers to make the joints leak proof and to achieve the minimum effective throat thickness of weld conforming to IS- 816-1969 specifications, by using welding electrodes of 2.5 mm to 6.3 mm of Advani oerlikon (Adore)-CITOJET/ESAB make, conforming to IS 814-1991, at site of work complete in all respects and including DPT test for joints & manual/mechnical handing of pipes. The laying of pipes should be conforming to IS: 5822-1994 (Earth work in trenches ,butt welding and M.S. flanges to be measured and paid for separately) The pipe shall have zinc coating as per IS 4736 in factory latest with uptodate ammendments. Pipe shall be coated from both sides ( in side and outer side) with the required thickness of zinc coating as per IS code mentioned above. (Refer Data Sheet No. 5)

The job also includes providing lowering, laying, erecting, hoisting and jointing of pipe assembly for inlet, outlet, overflow and scour pipe with bye pass arrangement consisting of GI / MS pipes special and valves of required classes and dia and all other accessories required such as MS ladders inside and outside, CI cowl type ventilator, SFRC manhole covers with frames of heavy duty with proper locking arrangement, water level indicator. The tanks shall be hydraulically tested for water tightness, All works shall be conforming to relevant IS code. The cost of valves,bulk meter/ flow meter shall be included in the rates of tanks .complete in all respects to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The battery limit shall be considered as 3.00 mtrs from the edge of the structure of the boundary wall of the land which ever is less. OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SCHEME FOR 5 YEARS:- The Bidder shall carry out the operation and maintenance of the scheme right from source to tail ends of the scheme. The operation & maintenance shall be carried out as per the CPHEEO manual of water supply & treatment (Latest addition). All the structures & other components of the scheme should be kept neat and clean; he should report the any leakages, choking of lines and other damages of the scheme to the department immediately. He should maintain log books of running of pumping machinery and Register’s for conducting water samples and consumption of chemicals & flow meter readings etc. and submit the report to the department as per the direction of the Employer. For any breakdown of the scheme, he should repair/rectify the defects immediately and put the scheme functional immediately otherwise he shall be liable to penalise for Rupee 5000/- per day for delay in repair of the scheme. He should deploy sufficient skilled/un-skilled manpower on the scheme.Periodical white washing distempering & painting of all civil structures should be carried out. He is responsible to supply sufficient quantity and quality of water to the beneficiares. (Refer to Data Sheet No.12 for further details.).
