Schedule A1- Providing and Laying of Rising Mains

Excavation in foundation , trecnches including jungle clearance (for pipes & pits) up to all depths in all classification of earth work such as pick work, jumper work, saturated soil including bailing of pumping out water, blasting soft/ hard rock or chiselling soft. Hard rock where blasting is prohibited all lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, levelling of beds to correct grade including shoring srtutting, planking, timbering and dewatering wherever required, stacking the usable and un-usable material/soil separately and after laying, jointing and testing of pipes returning the usable soil to trenches in 15cm (fifteen centimeters) layers including consolidating of such deposited layer by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus soil, un-usable materials as directed within all leads and lifts including rstoration of un-matalled surfaces to its original condition and also including cost of diversion of traffic, night signals, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, etc. complete in respects with all leads and lifts as per directed of Engineer-in-charge of the site of work.

Laying, jointing and testing in trenches (to level or grade) G.I. pipes of following dia (H/M class) conforming to IS:1239-1990(Part - I ) (latest upto date amendments) of grade and wall thickness as specified below, suitable to withstand required hydraulic test pressure in randum length 4 m-6 m with plain ends and jointed with MS Flanges conforming to IS:6392-1971 (latest upto date amendments) and welding of flanges as per IS: 816-1969 with electrodes as per IS:814-1991 including required number and size of MS nuts and bolts as per IS 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fibre jointing gaskets sheet not less than 3.00mm in thickness as per IS:2712-1998. & butt welded joints. The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers on outer face & one layer on inner face to make the joints leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. The laying of Pipes conform to IS 5822-1994 and as per CPHEEO manual and will include all operations such as cutting, welding and jointing including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge including entire carriage of materials upto complete in all respects with in all leads and lifts as per direction of Engineer-in-charge . (Earth work in trenches, welding of flanges/butt welding will be measured and paid for seperately) )95 % of the total joint Buttwilding and 5% for the total joint of MS Flangs (95% Butt wilding)(5% Flanged joints)
