The required prior work experience for the bidder includes the completion of similar works in the last seven financial years. If the bidder is not the OEM, they must have an MoU with the OEM for technical assistance. For subletting of work, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be sublet, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to a certain amount (Rs 50 lakh), no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The bidder's bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year. The bidder must submit a Chartered Accountant-certified calculation. The available bid capacity of the tenderer shall be assessed based on the details submitted by the tenderer. If the available bid capacity is lesser than the estimated cost of work put to tender, the offer shall not be considered even if the bidder has been found eligible in other eligibility criteria/tender requirements.
