The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the advertised value of the tender, or (iii) One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of the tender. Additionally, the bidder should have completed similar work in the last three previous financial years and the current financial year. The value of similar works completed is considered in terms of average annual contractual turnover, and certificates from government organizations or public listed companies with an average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in the last 3 financial years are considered. In case of more than one L-1 bidders, the tenderer having done more value of similar work in the last three previous financial years and the current financial year upto the date of opening of the tender, may be selected for the award. Also, in zonal contracts, the variation in the contract should not exceed 25% of the contract value, and for offloading of part(s) of work at the final stage of completion/commissioning of work, the value of such part(s) of the work is limited to 5% of the original contract value.
