The bidder should have work experience as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in works of a similar nature over the last five years and in the current year before the submission of the bid. The calculation of available bid capacity involves considering the maximum value of work executed in any one year during the last five years and the value of existing commitments and ongoing works: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = (A*N*2-B), where A is the maximum value of work executed, B is the value of existing commitments, and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works. The bidder's financial position should also be sound, with access to liquid assets or credit facilities up to 25% of the contract value. The audited balance sheets for the last five years should demonstrate long-term profitability, including an estimated financial projection for the next two years.
