The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having satisfactorily completed works of a similar nature and complexity during the last 5 years. The bidder should have experience in civil engineering construction works, specifically in highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway projects. The value of similar works completed should be at least 50% of the estimated project cost for the works bid for. Alternatively, the value of similar works completed should be at least 40 percent of the proposed contract value. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works only, in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for. The bidder should have successfully completed or substantially completed at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The percentage of completion for substantially completed works is 90% or more of the original contract price. The bidder should have completed works that are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price. Additionally, the bidder should provide information on the value of works remaining to be completed (Rs. Cr) and the anticipated date of completion.
