The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in similar works, such as civil engineering constructions. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature over the last five years and in the current year before the submission of the bid. Specifically, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works, of at least the annual value of the contract applied for in any one year over the last five years. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The experience of other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria.
