The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in similar works, such as civil engineering constructions, specifically as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in the last five years. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature, with the value of such works performed in the last five years. The value and percentage of similar works completed are mentioned as follows: - The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of the contract applied for. - The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. - Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90 percent completed as on the date of submission. - The bidder should have completed at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract in similar works. - The bidder should invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract. - The bidder should have access to, or have available, liquid assets and/or credit facilities up to 25 percent of the value of the contract applied for. The bidder is required to provide details of work performed on similar projects, including the value of the contract, and quantities of work executed as prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in the last five years. The total value of civil engineering constructions completed by the bidder in the last five years should be mentioned, with the value stated in Rs. Lakhs.
