The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. The works may have been executed as prime contractor, joint venture, or nominated sub-contractor. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover, defined as billing for works in progress and completed in all classes of civil engineering construction works, in any one year, over the last five years of the annual value of contract/contracts applied for. The required experience includes total value of civil engineering constructions work performed in the last five years, with a focus on substantially completed works (at least 90% completed). The bidder should have completed works with a value of at least Rs. 15 lakhs, but less than Rs. 50 lakhs, or more than Rs. 50 lakhs. The values and percentages mentioned include 90% completion of works, and specific value ranges of Rs. 15 lakhs and Rs. 50 lakhs. The bidder should have available liquid assets and/or credit facilities up to 25 percent of the value of the contract/contracts applied. The lead partner in a joint venture should meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria, and the joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The experience of other joint venture partners shall be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria.
