The bidder should have prior work experience of executing works of a similar nature over the last five years, with a consideration of work performed as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor. The sub-contract should have involved the execution of all main items of work described in the bid document. For substantially completed works, it is required that the works are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission, with a gross value of work done up to the last date of submission being 90% or more of the original contract price, and continuing satisfactorily. The bidder should provide information on: - Work performed as prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor in the last five years. - Quantities of work executed, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work. - Value of contracts completed, with a mention of the contract number, date of issue of work order, stipulated period of completion, and actual date of completion. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of Rs. 715.34 lacs in any one year, over the last five years, in civil engineering construction works. The bidder should also have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of bridge works of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. In case of a joint venture, the experience of each joint venture partner shall be considered if it is not less than 30 percent of the qualifying criteria, and the lead partner shall meet not less than 50 percent of all criteria. The joint venture must collectively satisfy the criteria. The employer's additional cost for completing the works is specified as 20 percent. The bidder is required to invest a minimum of 25% of the value of the work during contract implementation.
