The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering constructions. The total value of civil engineering constructions work performed in the last five years is to be provided. Specifically, the bidder needs to provide information on work performed as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor in the last five years. The bidder should have experience in successfully completing or substantially completing at least one contract of highway (road and/or bridge works) or airport runway of at least 40 percent of the value of the proposed contract within the last five years. Substantially completed works mean those works which are at least 90% completed as on the date of submission. The bidder needs to provide quantities of work executed, including cement concrete, masonry, earthworks, and bituminous work. The value of similar works completed is to be provided. The bidder is required to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during implementation of the contract. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover in any one year, over the last five years, of the annual value of the contract applied for. The bidder should also have liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities, but the specific amount is not mentioned. The bidder needs to provide information on the name of the work, name of the employer, quantity of work performed, and remarks for each year of the last five years. A certificate from the Engineer-in-charge for the work completed is also required.
